I had the enormous privilege in August to as Jonathan & Katie’s beautiful Cairnwood Estate wedding photographer, located at Cairnwood just outside Philadelphia in Bryn Athyn. One of my all time favorite venues (and listed as one of my favorite venues in Philadelphia HERE) this place has a little bit of everything, and is the perfect venue for a summer wedding. We spent some time exploring the grounds at Cairnwood Estate, and took some of my favorite portraits of the summer in the cloisters and on the lawn at Cairnwood. If you are looking for a Philadelphia wedding venue that has everything you might need on a wedding day all in one location, Cairnwood just might be the one for you. From this amazing getting ready space, the on-site cathedral, and the gardens, Cairnwood is really the complete package.

This has got to be one of my favorite wedding day portrait locations. It’s located just next to the Cairnwood mansion, and has the most incredible arches and gardens. I would definitely budget a fair amount of time to shoot over here, just because there is so many amazing places to go and get some amazing portraits.
*Note* Jonathan and Katie decided to get married in a beautiful church off site. If you are looking for something closer, the cathedral is just on the other side of the property.
PRO TIP: Always make sure you sneak outside during the last few moments of golden hour to grab a few more portraits. Usually these portraits are the most relaxed and the light is killer!
